Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were hurt while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with interruptions to water supplies, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.

The assaults succeed evenings of air raids in the territory, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were bracing for more assaults.
